Hyundai Truck & Bus won Innovation ward at IToY

Recently, at Solutrans held in Lyon, France, Hyundai hydrogen fuel cell heavy truck won the world industry authoritative Award - International Truck of the year, with the evaluation of the professional juries, it won the truck innovation award of International Truck of the Year by defeating the top European and American truck brands such as Volvo, Scania, Renault, Nikola and Freightliner.

As we all know, International Truck of the Year (IToY) is the commercial vehicle authoritative award with 44-year history. The evaluation committee consists of commercial vehicle experts from 32 countries with an average of more than 20 years of experience.

Among them, 24 formal members came from the 24 best commercial vehicle magazines in Europe.. The other 8 associate members came from China, India, Iran, South Africa, Australia, Brazil, New Zealand, and Japan.

The object of International Truck of the Year is the truck having a total mass of more than 3.5T and advanced technology that can lead the future market. The finalists competing for the award are six brands, including Hyundai Truck & Bus’s hydrogen fuel cell heavy truck, the only Asian finalist, three European brands - Volvo self-driving truck, Scania self-driving truck and Renault electric truck, and two north American brands - Nikola hydrogen fuel battery truck and Freightliner pure electric heavy truck. In the end, the future technology of Hyundai Truck & Bus won the unanimous favor of the juries and won the innovation award of  International Truck of the Year with a highest number of votes.
